Graduate limbo

I am currently in the stage between finishing university and becoming a graduate, and it feels weird! I don't know how well I've done, I've just started looking for full time work and I'm lost... BUT I get to plan for graduation!
I am aloud to only wear black and white which suits me fine I've had my outfit planned for a long while.I don't have lots of money at the moment, so I have been buying each element in installments.

I have become an ASOS junkie just recently and I have just ordered my shoes for graduation.

Was £75 now £30

I hope they suit!

Oh Blog how I missed thee.

Today is the day I finished University!

This year has been incredibly difficult for my creative mind, I have been bogged down with strategic management, internationalization and oh-so-delightful e-commerce, not to mention my dissertation. Although there was a light at the end of the tunnel- The final project, my business plan.

In my business plan I got to pretend that I was about to embark on a career in illustrated wedding stationary (yus).
Here is some of the creativity that overflowed into what also consisted of  finance, strategy and operational planning.

Penny's 'Apartment'

Watching the Big Bang Theory yesterday and had to notice how colorful and full of wonderful things Penny's apartment is! I will use it as my design inspiration for my new flat (that will probably include the mess as I probably live very similarly to penny and her creative messiness)
I couldn't come across any images on the net so I had to print screen this one from the show. Love it!

Robertson Reviews Portraits

And so... I finally sent the portraits that I had done for http://robertsonreviews.wordpress.com/ The portraits were to give the blog a new look and to reflect the movie review nature of the blog.

I am not completely happy as I would have liked to have done a few more before I sent them! But because of not having my scanner and all my creative things
with me I had not been working on these since April. I would have undone the imbalance of male and female characters as there is only one female in the line up as well as the colour imbalance.

SALE (in big red letters draws me in)

I allowed myself to roam free among the current sales and this is what happened!

I am a sucker for urban outfitters but tend to only allow my
self to go crazy in the sale which means the guilt is slightly less. So this is one of my purchases....
My 80's style striped skirt which I had my eye on when I was less flushed! When I saw it in the sale at £15 reduced from £30 that was ideal!

I like to think it reflects the 1981 Paul rand IBM logo (which I remember from my graphic design days) When I see the composition of colours on the black background I have a vision of white clunky PCs and tetris which is just lots of fun!
